After years of gathering public input and ideas, the City of Missoula is updating its zoning map and development codes to better reflect the community vision that was adopted in the Our Missoula 2045 Land Use Plan. This is the final step in the Our Missoula process.

Earlier this month, we hosted a Zoning Open House on October 9th. If you weren’t able to attend, you can watch the recording of the presentation here and view the poster boards from the Open House here.

Now we invite you back for the next step in the Code Reform process, where the City of Missoula will share an overview of the full set of draft regulations and standards that will guide new development in the city. These are within the new Unified Development Code (UDC) and the updated Standards and Specifications Manual. The UDC includes zoning, subdivision, public works, and parks-related regulations. The Standards and Specifications Manual includes detailed specifications for improvements in the public right-of-way. Both documents will be available for review online next week.

Come to our upcoming open house to learn about what these updates may mean for Missoula and share your thoughts. Food and kids' activities will be provided!
