Introduction

On June 10, staff introduced the City’s annual budget process, including how municipal budgeting works. It’s a helpful starting point for anyone new to the budget.

Process

Throughout the process, the public can participate using the tools on this page, during meetings, or via other communication channels.

• Our strategic plan sets guiding principles and goals to inform the budget process
• Departments present their budget status and requests
• Mayor Davis proposes her executive budget, indicating what she wants to fund
• City Council discusses and amends the budget, with final adoption in mid-August

Budget Presentations

In June, departments will present their FY 2027 budget requests at Budget and Finance Committee meetings. After each meeting, this page will be updated with summary links and overviews. Detailed budget materials will be available on the City’s main website.
