Each year, the City of Missoula receives funding from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) programs.

CDBG and HOME funds must benefit Missoula’s low- and moderate-income residents and leverage resources to:

  • Improve the supply of affordable housing,
  • Assist with public improvements, and
  • Fund eligible public services.

Our 2024 CDBG/HOME Projects have been chosen!

Join us for a short presentation of the projects recommended for funding at the City Council meeting on Monday, April 22nd at 6:00pm.

You'll hear:

  • the results of our Con Plan survey and other outreach efforts,
  • the new goals for our HUD funding for the next 5 years,
  • Fair Housing concerns and the resulting goals to address those concerns
  • the projects we've chosen to fund for 2024.

The projects are included in the 2024-2028 Consolidated Plan. You can find out more about the Consolidated Plan by going here:

What are your thoughts or feedback on the City of Missoula's Program Year 2020 Action Plan for HUD-Funded Programs?

Each spring, the Office of Housing & Community Development creates an Annual Action Plan that must be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) before grant funds can be awarded to local organizations. This Action Plan outlines the goals, projects, and intended outcomes for the upcoming program year. You can find this year's Action Plan in the Documents widget at the right - we propose funding 8 projects in Missoula to meet our goals of reducing homelessness, expanding available affordable rental housing, and expanding homeownership opportunities in Missoula. We also include in this year's plan how we will spend CDBG-CV or COVID response funds from HUD.

What comments do you have about the year's goals, projects, or intended outcomes? Do you have any general thoughts about housing priorities in Missoula?

CLOSED: This discussion has concluded. We look forward to future discussions!

Thanks, skaricarey! All documents are linked at the right in the "Documents" tool.

Nothing happens when I open up the Action Plan link, just a blank screen which means I am unable to find out about this year's action plan. Please fix, thank you. I will blame "operator error" in the meantime.
