Stormwater Superintendent @ Public Works & Mobility Department
    406-552-6364

As the superintendent for the City’s Stormwater Division, Tracy works to ensure the City follows its Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit, which is required to allow the City to discharge stormwater to our aquifer and rivers.

Tracy’s interest in science and biology began when she was a child growing up in South Florida where she first collected ocean seaweed samples and studied them under a microscope. Her fascination with the tiny organisms in the petri dish and other elements in nature led her to study Natural Resources Management at Colorado State University. During this time, she spent a semester in Ecuador completing an independent study in the Amazon Rainforest. Her philosophy that insects are “the cornerstone of healthy ecosystems, so small yet so important” led her next to earn a Master of Science degree in Entomology from Montana State University.

Since she began working for Stormwater in 2019, Tracy has been applying scientific principles to protect water quality, helping the City make meaningful progress towards environmental sustainability.
