On Our Way Home Adopted at 10 Community Agencies

After months of presentations, On Our Way Home: Missoula Community Houselessness Strategy is formally adopted and endorsed by 10 community agencies: City County Board of Health, Homeword, Hope Rescue Mission, Human Resource Council, Missoula City Council, Missoula County Board of County Commissioners, Missoula Housing Authority, Missoula Interfaith Collaborative & MIC’s Action Network, The Poverello Center, and United Way of Missoula County. Three members of the On Our Way Home Leadership Group - Sydni Goodman, Clint Whittle-Frazier, and Sam Hilliard - visited community agencies between February and May to present the strategy, answer questions, and formally seek adoption. On Our Way Home is a unique strategy because it is created and owned by the community members and partners who comprised the leadership group, not by the City or any one organization. With adoption complete, the next step is to create a path to implementing the strategy. Remaining true to its creation - implementation will be a community effort, the format of which is yet to be determined. Stay tuned for updates!
