Help Shape Missoula’s Housing Future – We Want Your Feedback
Each year, the City of Missoula reports to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) on how we used federal grant funds to support housing and community development. That report, the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), is now available for public review.

About the CAPER and HUD Funds
Each year, Missoula receives federal grant funding from HUD through two key programs:
• Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) – about $500,000 annually to support housing and community development for low-income residents.
• HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) – about $300,000 annually to help low- to moderate-income Missoulians access safe, affordable housing.
These funds are awarded to local projects that align with both local needs and federal priorities — from building housing to supporting homelessness services. The CAPER summarizes how these funds were used over the past year and what outcomes were achieved.
