- We will have an estimate of tax impacts when Mayor Davis presents her executive budget on July 22.
- We won't have final tax impacts until after we receive our revenue numbers in August. This will be before the final budget is adopted.
- Tax impacts are calculated on average city-wide. Many factors affect the property taxes for an individual property.
- When the City presents tax impacts, that is only for the City portion of your property tax bill. City taxes are about one-third of your total bill. Other jurisdictions, such as the school districts and Missoula County, set their own tax rates.
Will my property taxes go up?
Mayor Davis and the City Council are committed to fiscal stewardship. The City's strategic plan considers everyday costs for residents while maintaining essential public services and long-term fiscal health.
What is the fiscal year?
The City's fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. FY27 runs from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026.
Where do my property taxes go?
City taxes and assessments are about one-third of your total property tax bill. City taxes and assessments are spent as follows:
